jt tayloris one of the most sought-after bassists in the northeastern US: his no-nonsense and solid playing style began early in his career, performing with many notable musicians such as Peter Mendillo (Survivor), Gary (Scruff) Davenport (805), and brother James Taylor (Prankster, Static Cling, Jay Sonti). He went on to study recording engineering with Gary Zefting (Metallica recording engineer), and studied to improve his playing techniques with Geoff Smith (Eastman School of Music).
Since then, jt has been busy performing live and in the studio with many great musicians such as: Don Mancuso (Black Sheep, Lou Gramm Band), Andy Knoll (Lou Gramm Band), Phil Naro (Talas), Regi Hendrix (yes, he's Jimi's cousin), Bobby Bond (Mr. Hand, 6Degrees), Mike Gladstone and Joe Lana (Uncle Plum), Rob Mount and Brian Copeland (50/50), Johnny Pasquarella (Time Bandits), Jeff Cosco (Cheater), and Scott Kreyer (Toronto). in 2007, jt joined up with the international rock act, "DDrive", and has recorded three albums with them. Working with Ddrive, jt has shared the stage with many national rock bands, including REO Speedwagon, Queensryche, Rick Emmet, Great White, and other national acts. jt recently finished recording DDrive's latest CD entitled "Intermission" , and performed at the Rochester Jazz Festival in summer 2014. A live DVD was just released of the 2014 Jazz Festival performance. jt is currently performing live dates with Ddrive in the US and Canada.
